New Palette
I've been working on a new
palette for our TC. The palette itself is basically done now, it just needs a colourmap
made for it. This is kind of new ground for me though, I've never done any palette editing
before for a game so I'm not entirely sure if I'm doing this properly. I just made up a
new palette in Paintshop Pro, then saved it as a .pal file. From what I've heard, there
were programs for Quake1 that would take your palette and make a colourmap for it, though
I haven't heard of any for Quake2 yet. If anyone knows of a program that can do this for
Q2, or knows of another way of doing it, please contact me. Also, if anyone could give me
some info on how the Q2 palette works (how to get fullbrights, transparent colours etc.)
that would be great. [EleCtRiC]

Quake2 Movie
Now that we've officially
decided to make the Starwars TC for Quake2, we've been playing around with the new cut
scene technology. With it, we have been able to create a short full motion video promo for
our project. It mainly serves as an example of what type of cut scenes we will be able
create to push the story-line along in the final release. Click Here
to download. [Chris Hodge]

New Members
We'd like to welcome some new
members to the team: Colfax will be doing some graphics work for us, Stecki will be
helping us out with models, and Mike Kozloski is creating some sounds for us. Welcome
aboard guys! [Red
Knight]
Help Still Needed
We still need another sound
guy and some level designers. To those who've already sent examples, you need not send
them again, I'll be getting back to you shortly. However, if you haven't contacted us yet,
please send me an email with an example of your work. [Red Knight]

I'm Converted!
Wow! You need to go check out Converted! This is one
nice-looking site, and sure to be the central TC news & info site in the near future. [Red Knight]

REALLY Not Dead!
As a couple people have
pointed out, I seem to have had an interesting choice in headlines to leave up for 12
days. I've been really sick lately with some form of flu that's going around, and I'm
still feeling pretty lousy. I'm getting caught up on everything that's been going on, and
we're trying to get the TC back on it's feet and rolling after my absence and the loss of
several member to Real Life. Please be patient with us this next week as we get everything
rolling again, and then expect lots of new info. Also, I'll try and answer everything in
my overflowing inbox tomorrow, as well as update everything else that needs it on the web
site. [Red
Knight]
Description Posted
I just posted a description page which gives some insight onto just how big the
scope of this project is. Trust me, you'll want to read this. [Red Knight]
First Q2 Screenshot
Here's a quick shot I took of
the new Stormtrooper model in Q2. Nothing else really fantastic yet, but that's about to
change... [Red

Not Dead!
Wow, things have been REALLY
busy around here. I'd hoped one of the other guys would update the page, but it looks like
they've all been as busy as I have. We've hit a few bumps as far as porting everything
over to Quake2 goes, but those are being smoothed out as I'm writing this. The next time I
update, watch for a big description of everything we're planning for the TC, as well as
(cross your fingers), some Quake2 screenshots. Now I'm back to .mdl porting! [Red Knight]

mentioned our TC on their page. [Red Knight]

Finally
Prelim2a is available on the
downloads page. I went ahead and put up the link to cdrom.com, and if it's not on their
site yet, it will be very shortly. As I get reports coming in from the other mirror sites,
I'll place their links up as well. Also, expect some updates soon as to the new stuff
we've been working on. Note that Prelim2 and it's patch are still for Quake (that's the
original one).
Help Wanted
Right now we're looking for
another level designer and a modeller. If you're interested, send and example of your work
to Red Knight.
It's Official
As of right now, we are
officially a Quake 2 TC. I know some of you disagree with this, and would rather that we
supported regular old Quake, but the truth is that the Quake 2 engine allows us to do some
things we couldn't otherwise, and Quake 2 already has a few things in it that we were
planning on doing anyway, so as far as development goes, it's a major plus for us to
switch over. We've still got a long way to go on this TC, but the step toward Quake 2 is a
big step closer to that final release date....

Sorry
Sorry for keeping you all
waiting, I've had some problems recently. The patch WILL be up on both Telefragged and
CDROM.COM's FTP sites tomorrow, and from there it will be mirrored. Again, I apologize to
you all, and in the future I hope to be able to make release dates where we'll actually
release something on. [Red Knight]
