New Screenshots
Tim Elek has released some early screenshots of the
Star Destroyer (being redone for it's Quake2 port). You can check them out on the screenshots page. [Red Knight]
B-Board Poll
I've updated the bulletin board with a thread asking
for feedback on what weapons you'd like to see in the game. Please stop by and make your
thoughts known. [Red Knight]

Still Around...
So much for my more frequent updates promise, eh? Yes,
you all know the routine. RK's been busy with Real Life, and this, and that, blah, blah...
But happily, SWQ progress has still been going strong. Tim is making great progress on the
Star Destroyer, and taufik is just starting on the Jedi Academy level. A few other models
have also been completed, but you don't get to see those until the final release :P [Red Knight]
Programmers NEEDED!!!
Ok folks, I have received a couple of offers for
programming help, but we still need a few more. The models dept. is slowing down due to
Real Life issues, so now is the perfect time for our coding dept. to get caught up. The
only problem there is we've lost half of our coding dept. somewhere along the line! If
you're experience in programming, please email myself of Drywall now! [Red Knight]

A Fair-Sized Update
Well, here's the update I promised. I will try to
update much more often, but no guarantees, you all know what my life is like (heh). Also,
there will be more information coming soon, as I was required to devote much of my time
today to the opening of Wavelength. [Red Knight]
Welcome to the Family
First and foremost I want to say "welcome
aboard!" to the two new additions to the SWQ team, Tim Elek and Taufik Purnomosidi,
both of whom are excellent mappers. Taufik will beginning work on the Star Destroyer, as
WolfeN never had chance to do anything with it before he was pulled into the real game
development industry. Time Elek will be starting on the planet Ionus IV. [Red Knight]
The "Project"
Well, one of my other projects is open, that being Wavelength, a Half-Life editing site.
We still have a long ways to go on the design, and a lot more information to add, but the
site is finally up, and will be progressing rapidly within the next few weeks. For anyone
who's interested in editing Half-Life, I'm hoping that it will become a
"one-stop-shop" for you. [Red Knight]
Programmers Needed
We're in need of at least two more programmers, as some
of the others have simply disappeared. It's always a little frightening when someone
you've been in contact with for months suddenly stops with no reason... But aside from
that we do need programmers for the TC now that the others seem to have been
sucked into the abyss of Real Life. If you're interested, please send email to myself or
Drywall. [Red Knight]
The Official Site Update
While this has nothing to do with SWQ, the official Star Wars site has been updated with a lot of
new info if (like me) you haven't been there in the last month. Oh, what I wouldn't give
for even one of those broken lightsaber handles... [Red Knight]
Models Dept. Update
The models department as usual, has been in a flurry of
activity. I mentioned yesterday that the T-16 had been completed, but you can now add the
Thermal Detonator to that list, and the landspeeder is nearer to completion with each
passing day, though ViolentBlue has been busy with some Real Life projects as well.
falkon2 is working on the great task of creating the lightsaber models (note the plural!),
and you can expect a few surprises when you see this in the final release. [Red Knight]
AI Update
I haven't been posting all of the changes made to the
SGM AI (which will be the basis for the AI in SWQ), as legion maintains his separate page here. However, the mod has gone through several
different versions and is now up to 1.2.03, and if you haven't tried it yet, let me just
say that it is very impressive. [Red Knight]
New Member
I just got word back from Tim Elek that he would indeed like to be part of
the team. So we have yet another new leveler on the team and both of the spots that we
were recruiting for are taken.
I also fixed up the members page, got rid of the members who never responded to my Emails and added the two new guys. I think the team is a much more reasonable size now than it used to be. Its much easier to communicate when there are less people.
I also updated my personal plan (for the first time in months!) [EleCtRiC]

I'm Back (For Good)
Yes, I have finally returned to the happy world of SWQ.
I appreciate the emails for those of you concerned that I had died, but in reality I was
working on finishing some of my other projects, one of which you'll be able to see Monday.
A lot of stuff has been going on in my absence, and I'll be posting a full update
tomorrow. For now, here's the stuff I do know: [Red Knight]
The "Official" IRC
Channel
moresmart has opened an IRC channel on DALNET for us,
#swtc. I'll try and stop by every evening at around 8:00 p.m. Central to answer any
questions you might have, or just to chat in general. [Red Knight]
T-16 Completed
ViolentBlue has completed the T-16 model, which has
been sent off to the skins dept., and is now starting in earnest on the landspeeder. [Red Knight]
BBoard Update
The Bulletin Board is again enjoying a flurry of
updating, and resulting in some very good ideas being suggested. The most recent topic has
been the possible inclusion of a Boba Fett-like jet pack. Be sure to stop by the board and
make your thoughts known. [Red
Knight]
ICQ Status
Over the past few weeks I've received quite a number of
requests from people to be added to my ICQ list. I apologize for denying all of you, but
my contact list is already quite long, and I can really only spare people who are actually
on the team, or who have bugs to report. Again, I apologize, and please feel free to send
any email, as I answer nearly every message. [Red Knight]
Specters of the Past
Ever notice how you sometimes forget things you said
you'd do? *grin* Well, I was going through my project notebook, and I noticed a couple of
these, most notably the TC Toolbox and the TerrorForm update. Well, I think I'll actually
do something about those now. I will make a point this week to poll all the members for
their respective programs, and compile the Toolbox for you. As for TerrorForm, I've
started some small work on it, and what started as giving it a new interface has turned
into a complete revamp of the program, which I hope to have completed by the end of the
summer. I'll keep you updated on it's progress via my .PP [Red Knight]
The 50,000 Hit Contest
I'd like to take this time to congratulate slepnir on
being the 50,000 hit to the SWQ site. His prize: He will now have one of our new alien
races named after him. :) [Red
Knight]
Site Stuff
Kicked some of the news into the Old News where it
belongs, and added a couple of questions to the FAQ. More updates coming tomorrow. [Red Knight]

Recruits and more...
Ok, I finally got some applicants for the leveler
positions. I have basically made up my mind of who be the next new members will be. So far
we have one official new person, Taufic Purnomosidi. As for the second person, I'm waiting
confirmation that they would like to officially join the team. I also cleaned up the
members page a lot. I mailed the people who were not doing much and got rid of the ones
who were doing nothing. I think its better that we have a small hard working team than a
large loosely connected one.[EleCtRiC]
