Thought I'd just drop a few lines in the middle of the week, saying that I've finally uploaded a simple little tutorial on how to use the files presented in the last update. I have however stopped the project of my own homepage, for reasons to be explained later. For now however, you can either check the html file or download a zip of the entire tutorial. [ RipVTide ]

Toodaloo. Sadly I was so very brief in the last update, giving you all nothing but a tidbit of info and a measly soundfile. Hopefully, everyone will like this update much more. First of all, I've uploaded two screenshots to the media area, both are of the unfinished levels that I mentioned in the last update. And when we now are speaking of editing, let us get on to the big news.

!!!THERE IS SOMETHING TO DOWNLOAD!!!

Levelediting & Texturing

Yup, it's true. In these measly zip files we have included the palette files needed to make your very own levels for SWQ (and if I'm not mistaken, Priv himself is gettinga similar release ready for the player model and skinning... stay tuned), before the mod even has been released! Although it isn't the mod itself, we hope that this shows you all that we are getting prepared for a big release. Start working on levels and textures, and send them in! If we get particularly fine submissions, there is a real possibily they will be added to the mod. Also, along with the next update I will upload the new version of my plan page and start a string of tutorials on texturing and levelediting in SWQ. I'm not sure what level you people are at however, so please tell us what kind of tutorials you want on the board. Oh, of course, please post any editing related posts in the technical section of the board.

Finally, I can add that the sound effect from last week is a ambient sound from SWQdm1. Along with the work on textures and such you might have seen in screenshots, we've also been working on making the DM levels something extra, adding a "living" enviroment with among other things sound. SWQdm1 is set in an abandoned temple that for some reason has been shunned by jedi for millenia. A band of rouge jedi students think it will be the perfect refuge from their mossy old mentors. Though things seemed all and well at first, something wrong about the place becomes more and more evident... [ RipVTide ]
